How to apply
The candidate to a position in the post-graduation program must previously contact the program to determine the research area and the supervisor. For that, he or she need to check the available Research Areas and contact one of the Supervisors directly, asking whether they would accept the candidate. Applications can be submitted to the Secretariat.
Please notice that a proof of proficiency in English must be obtained before selection of students (see below), since it is a prerequisite. Foreigners must also proof proficiency in Portuguese certified by CELPE-BRAS (http://celpebras.inep.gov.br/inscricao/), bestowed by the Ministry of Education and recognized by the Commission of Post-Graduation, or in accordance with the “REGULATIONS OF THE COMMISSION OF POST-GRADUATION OF RIBEIRAO PRETO MEDICAL SCHOOL – USP”, within one year after admission.
In this institution, Master’s must be completed within a maximum of 3 years, and Doctorate within a maximum of 4 years.
All courses are free of tuition or charge. There is only an application.

Written test | Critical analysis of an English text, taken from the recent literature, on general aspects related to the Health of the Child and the Adolescent, aiming to evaluate the comprehension capacity of the text, as well as the capacity of synthesis and expression of the candidate. Analysis and arguing about the curriculum | Banking 3 teachers, to identify the reasons for the pursuit of academic and emphasizing the candidate’s training, research, whether scientific research, participation in scientific events, performing stages of specialization / improvement / residency and publications. Maximum duration time: one hour (half an hour for argument and half an hour for response, which may be in the form of a dialogue). Note from 0 to 10 Minimum mark 6 (weight 4) |
Oral presentation and arguing about the research project | Bank of 3 teachers. The scientific proposal, the methodology, the feasibility and its integration in the lines of research of the program and the time available for the development of the course will be evaluated. Multimedia equipment will be available for presentation of the project in a maximum time of 10 minutes. Maximum duration time after project submission: one hour (half an hour for argument and half an hour for response, which may be in the form of a dialogue). Minimum mark 6 (weight 2) |
