The SCA Graduate Program at FMRP-USP has the mission of contributing to the advancement of knowledge and the training of researchers, professors, and qualified professionals in the field, promoting research of excellence and impact on the health of the pediatric population.
As a general objective, the SCA Program seeks to train professionals involved in various segments related to child and adolescent health care for excellence in teaching and research, providing high-quality education and promoting scientific advancement in the field.
The program’s specific objectives include:
I. To provide solid methodological and ethical training, enabling the production of relevant and impactful scientific research for the academic community and the population.
II. To qualify professors and researchers with leadership profiles to work in higher education and drive scientific and technological progress in child and adolescent health.
III. To train and qualify professionals with leadership profiles capable of generating and disseminating knowledge in the field of child and adolescent health, improving care for this population’s health needs.
IV. To encourage the development of research coordinators, strengthening collaborative groups in national and international institutions.
V. To generate and disseminate scientific knowledge through dissertations, theses, publications in high-impact journals, and other scientific communication channels.
VI. To foster interdisciplinarity and national and international academic collaborations, aiming to expand knowledge in the field of pediatric population health.
VII. To produce research with social impact, contributing to the improvement of healthcare for children and adolescents.
