The lines of research cover epidemiological, clinical, therapeutic, and molecular aspects of the health-disease process in children and adolescents, explored through modern approaches and advanced technologies developed in equipped laboratories.

1 – Congenital and Acquired Heart Diseases in Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults

It aims to study the clinical and laboratory aspects, evolution, treatment, and outcome of congenital and acquired heart disease in children, adolescents, and young adults.

Advisor:

Paulo Henrique Manso

2 – Child and Adolescent Growth, Physical Development, and Metabolism

It aims to assess the impacts of nutrition/food and inborn errors on physical growth and metabolism, considering the influence of genetic inheritance and the environment on the occurrence of diseases using methods to assess dietary history, nutritional status, and growth.
